Zinga Cold Galvanising Zinc Rich Paint

Zinga Galvanising Paint. Fast air drying Zinc Rich (96%) anticorrosion primer. Easy to Apply, provides cathodic protection to steel fabrications with a life expectancy in excess of 25 years in aggressive C5-M Marine and C4 Industrial environments. It is an economic alternative to hot dip galvanizing or zinc metal spray. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray. It may be left unpainted to provide anticorrosion resistance on steel structures or be overcoated with Penguard Tiecoat and Hardtop Polyurethanes for long term colour and protection. It may be used as a repair system for galvanised steel. Zinga can be easily overcoated with itself as each new layer reliquidises itself forming a homogeneous layer and may be overcoated with polyester powder coatings and other high performance paints. It is Norsok approved to system 1 and is available from stock in a wide range of pack sizes for free delivery throughout the UK.

Zinga is a fast air drying zinc rich epoxy primer with 96% zinc in the dry film and provides cathodic protection of ferrous metals. It can be used as a unique system as an alternative to hot dip galvanising or metallisation, as a primer in a duplex system or as a recharging primer for galvanised steel.

Zinga is designed for new construction where fast dry to handle and overcoating times are required. It is suitable for use on steel to be exposed to highly corrosive C5M coastal  and C4 Industrial environments.. It can be applied by Airless spray on abrasive blast cleaned steel or by brush as a stripe coat for additional protection of welds. It is prequalified in accordance with Norsok M501 System 1.

Zinga is an air drying zinc rich primer providing excellent corrosion protection as part of a complete coating system suitable for use in atmospheric environments. It can be applied direct to carbon steel and may be used to repair galvanised steel. It is recommended for offshore environments, structural steel, power plants, machinery, building products, construction and steel bridges. It can be applied up to 60 microns in a single coat by airless spray, two coats may be required to achieve the recommended DFT by brush.

It can be applied at sub zero temperatures, when applying by brush or airless spray it is recommended to thin up to 5% by volume with Zingasolv depending on the nozzle size.

When overcoated with two pack epoxies or polyurethanes it is recommended to seal any air voids in the zince using a mist coat of Penguard Tiecoat at 25-35 microns dry film thickness.

Zinga is available in a range of pack sizes for free delivery throughout the UK.
