Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint

£101.52

Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint is used to provide a durable and hard wearing surface with an anti-slip finish.

This product has been independently tested and has a PTV rating of 68 in dry conditions and 58 wet. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint can be used on concrete, wood, tarmac, stone, brickwork and suitably prepared metal. Advice should be sought for coating new timber or pressure preservative treated timber.

It should only be applied above 7°C with a brush or roller with a wet film thickness of 100 to 110 microns and a dry film thickness of 35 to 4o microns, the expected spreading rate of these film thicknesses is 5 to 9 sq.m/litre.

Before applying the product you should make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from any contaminants.

For Concrete – power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good “key” for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface by removing dirt and laitance.

New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months.

Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate.

For existing painted surfaces – Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate “key” is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as a new substrate and prepare accordingly.
