Jotun Demidekk Terrasslasyr is formulated to provide 3 years colour and protection in just one coat. The translucent finish allows the natural grain and qualities of the treated wood to be highlighted, intensifying wood tones while added a hint of colour to blend with the natural environment. Demidekk Terrasslasyr is a water-borne and pigmented wood glaze for exterior impregnated wood. It has excellent penetrating and water repellent properties which protects the wood against moisture and cracks as well as weathering caused by harmful UV rays.

This product contains agents that protects algae and mould growth and is rain resistant just one hour after application. It can be easily applied by either roller or brush . It only needs one thin coat when the substrate is dry, apply the product along the full length of 1-2 boards at a time and wipe off any excess using a lint free cloth.

This product is available in 3lt pack sizes in 16 natural stain colours with a matt translucent finish. Developed in Norway manufactured in the West Midlands for free delivery throughout the UK. .

Both paint and terrace glaze are used to protect, preserve and decorate wood by covering it with a pigmented coating. The main difference between paint and glaze is paint will form a hard layer over the timber providing additional protection against mechanical impact and abrasion, whereas a glaze penetrates deep into the wood to change the appearance and highlight the grain.

Demidekk Terrasslasyr is a premium exterior wood protection product, compared to commercially available stains, it only requires one coat to decorate and protect exterior wood for up to three years. Most common stains require 3-4 coats and require re-staining every year, offering little protection from the enviro It is the ultimate transparent wood glaze , rain resistant in 1 hour, a one coat solution which does not require maintenance every year for 3 years, with lower applied costs than common stains.

How to Repair Previously Stained Terraces:

Before applying this product make sure that the substrate is clean, sound and dry. Then dampen the surface with cold water. Apply Demidekk Terrassfix by brush keeping the surface moist for 15-20 minutes applying more Terrassfix if required. Scrub lightly along the grain taking care not to damage the surface. After 20 minutes rinse the surface thoroughly with water, the old stain will be removed without the need for high pressure jetting. Residues of old stain should be removed by repeating the process.

Apply Demidekk Terrasslasyr once the wood is dry, applying along the length of each board following the grain. Avoid surplus glaze on the surface this should be brushed out until it penetrates the wooden surface. Wipe away any excess using a lint cloth. Cut edges are more absorbent so 2 coats can be applied in these areas for extra protection.
