Jotun Pilot ACR Marine Fast Drying Acrylic Primer Finish

Jotun Pilot ACR a fast air drying marine quality high build acrylic primer finish. It has good colour and gloss retention in a marine environment. It is suitable for exterior and interior use above the waterline on topsides, superstructure and decks. It is also fire approved for use as a topcoat on Steelmaster Intumescent paints. It is suitable as a topcoat in atmospheric environments and can be applied at sub zero surface temperatures. It is certified not to spread surface flames. With high volume solids, it has high coverage rates and is available as a semigloss finish in a wide range of RAL and British standard colours. Free delivery throughout in UK in 5lt and 20lt packs.

Surface Preparation.

Carbon Steel: Minimum St 2 , Recommended Abrasive blast clean to Sa 2.5. (ISO 8501-1)

Coated Surfaces: Ensure the existing coat is intact, compatible, dry and free from oil grease and other contaminants.

Jotun Pilot ACR is a single pack, high build, fast air drying acrylic primer finish with a semigloss finish. It can be applied direct to metal or as a topcoat over existing painted surfaces. Suitable for application at sub zero surface temperatures by Airless spray, Conventional spray, brush or roller.

Pilot ACR is a topcoat over suitably primed substrates for steel fabrications, containers, modular buildings, construction equipment and building products. It provides excellent adhesion to steel, plastic and wood. It may be used on steel when abrasive blast cleaning is not possible as a high build direct to metal primer finish in one coat by airless spray.  Pilot ACR  may also be applied over Pilot QD zinc phosphate primer and most aged coatings including epoxies.

It can be applied up to 120 microns in a single coat by airless spray, two coats may be required to achieve the recommended DFT by brush or roller. It is certified not to spread surface flame and  is resistant to continuous temperatures of up to 60°C. Pilot ACR is a Fire Approved topcoat for application on Steelmaster Intumescent Paints.

Available in an extensive range of RAL and British standard colours in a semigloss finish in 5lt and 20lt packs for free delivery throughout the UK.
