Jotun SeaForce 60 is an air drying hydrolysing antifouling coating based on ion exchange technology providing good fouling protection. This is achieved by self polishing characteristics reducing hull deterioration. SeaForce 60 is a topcoat to be used in immersed environments only. SeaForce 60 is suitable on approved primers and tiecoats on aluminium and carbon steel substrates for vessels operating in global service, including fresh water exposure during newbuilding outfitting and is recommended for deep sea trade. SeaForce 60 is designed for vessels trading at a wide range of speed and activity. SeaForce 60 antifouling paint can be used for long service periods up to 60 months as part of a complete coating system over Jotamastic 87 or Penguard HB Primer and Vinyguard Silvergrey tiecoat
SeaForce 60 can be applied by Airless spray, Conventional spray, brush or roller although two coats may be required to achieve the recommended dry film thickness. It can be applied at sub zero surface temperatures.
Coated Surfaces: Remove any contamination that could interfere with the intercoat adhesion. Use high pressure water jetting to remove loosely adhering paint back to a sound surface at a minimum nozzle pressure of 340 bar. Exceeding maximum recoat intervals will require cleaning and abrading prior to repainting.
